A start-up is launching a biometric-secure storage case for cannabis or other medications that blends high-fashion style with the convenience and security of a fingerprint locking clasp. 

The primary goals of the website are to present the new product, collect marketing survey responses and help foster wider acceptance of cannabis culture among a diverse customer base.

Building AI tools to create richly detailed personas

To add depth to the persona creation process, I built a custom GPT, Swift Persona, which builds rich and varied persona through a simple step by step process.

Designers that already have data about their persona can easily incorporate it and fine tune any AI responses within the workflow to improve persona accuracy. 

Hand Wire Frame Explorations

I began with an evaluation of the existing placeholder site to understand how it had been structured and styled. 

The persona informed the strategy to place emphasis on promoting safety and responsibility equally alongside the style and design of the product.

Low Fidelity Wireframes

Review of the paper wireframes took place in a Zoom working session with the client team, resulting in important refinements in content and flow

The product page was designed for easy scanning, with key information available in simple bulleted lists, or image-focused layouts to guide the users path through the information easily, or allow them to find what they are interested in quickly.

The full-bleed main image is reserved for an immersive vignette of the product.

Developing the Design

I presented the low fidelity wireframes and the initial edits over Zoom to the client team. I gathered their opinions on a key elements like fonts, and available Squarespace styling options. 

I also assisted with content blocking strategy, information flow and content layout that would best suit their communication goals and target audience.

GPT Takeaways

This project served as a laboratory to examine the challenges of synthetic persona and the importance of detailed attributes for these different persona.

The SwiftPersona workflow gave me confidence that I would be able to design for a wide range of different persona quickly and include meaningful decisions and features in service of those users.

I also explored a range of custom GPTs to fit a range of specific uses, such as competitive audits for products, concepts or companies and a team strategist to organize projects and help define processes.
